Chandler Park Bridge – City of Chandler with the Sac & Fox Nation
- Client: City of Chandler, OK
- Project Type: Bridge
About this Project
EST provided geotechnical services that included one boring drilled within the existing right-of-way to a depth of approximately forty-five feet below the existing elevation. Deliverables included field boring logs.
Project involved grading, paving, and bridge with pedestrian sidewalk and pipe rail on bridge. This road provides access to schools, athletic facilities, and city parks. This project’s purpose was to improve pedestrian safety and to provide a safe, ADA compliant pedestrian sidewalk on the bridge. The new bridge is rated to carry school buses, while the old bridge was unsafe for heavy loads.
The Chandler project provides connection to a future sidewalk project. Project required several meetings and stakeholder coordination to meet tribal and city concerns, to discuss design criteria, and to ensure summer construction. EST provided bidding services and stakeholder coordination services.
