Position Description and Requirements:

  • Design highways and roadways in accordance with TxDOT, FHWA, and AASHTO criteria
  • Must have a thorough understanding and ability to design horizontal and vertical geometry, perform grading, and prepare 3D models
  • Must be able to coordinate design efforts with all disciplines, compile a full plan set including details and tabs, prepare cost estimates, and write specifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineer with at least 15 years’ experience in geometric design, preparing 3D models, plan production, quantities and cost estimates, and specifications for TxDOT or major local agency projects
  • Must be proficient in MicroStation/InRoads and/or AutoCAD/Civil3D
  • Must have demonstrated success in project delivery.
