Position Description and Responsibilities:

The CAD Operator/Designer will perform CAD drafting for various disciplines on transportation-related projects including but not limited to, roadway, bridge, utility, traffic, and water resources. This position will consist of various tasks including drafting, calculating quantities, assembling plan notes, production of plans, specifications, estimates, and other general engineering tasks.

The Utility Coordinator will attend utility relocation meetings, communicate with utility companies, check relocation plans, draft new line locations, and prepare reports.  It is anticipated that time will be split between CAD drafting and Utility Coordination as work-load requires.

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience in CAD and plan production for transportation projects preferred but will consider less experience for the right individual.  Proficient in either MicroStation or AutoCAD or preferably both.  Experience in GIS is beneficial.  Must be self-directed and able to perform all required duties with little/no guidance. Must be dedicated to quality work and operating as part of a team.

Education Requirements:

Associates/Technical Degree with a focus in Computer Aided Drafting preferred.
